It’s time to put YOU first

Therapy is an investment in yourself. It’s a unique space dedicated to you and your specific needs. Whether you are experiencing a life transition, difficulty with relationships, feelings of anxiety, or have symptoms from trauma, I can help you.

5 Reasons to go to Therapy

You want to learn more about yourself

You’re a human being, not a 2 dimensional cartoon character. Do you know what inspires you? What pushes you to do your best? What are your strengths? Do you feel fulfilled? You likely haven’t even tapped into your full potential yet.

You need time dedicated to just you

Do you feel valued in your life? Respected? Do you have time to truly relax, to speak your mind freely without any consequences? With confidentiality? Unlike anything else, therapy is a designated block of time which is 100% focused on you. This means your needs are center stage. This means valuing you as a person with the freedom to problem solve and think out loud.

Freedom to speak without consequences

You might be lucky enough to have someone in your life you can confide in, such as a friend, partner, or family member. But can you truly tell them everything? Are there things you cannot tell them as it will affect their feelings or that of someone close to them? Are you worried about them judging you? A therapist is not someone you know in your personal life. You see your therapist during your weekly session.

Collaboration, a chance for you to steer your own life

A supervisor tells you what to do in order to meet their own or the organization’s standards. A therapist motivates and helps you to meet your own standards-or discover what those standards are.

Because Life is Stressful

Life is full of the unexpected-surprises, curveballs, and painful changes. Have your plans gone off track? Have you worked hard for something but it didn’t pan out? Do you feel like something just seems off? How about going to a safe, confidential space where you can express yourself freely, process these difficult feelings, and heal?

I am a psychotherapist with more than a decade of experience treating individuals and couples. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master of Social Work degree from New York University. I have worked in a variety of settings including outpatient and inpatient clinics, counseling centers, schools, agencies, and private practice. I also served for over 2 years in the Peace Corps, living and working in Rwanda. I am bilingual and provide therapy in both English and French.

I believe that everyone has unique gifts that enable them to reach their full potential and live a more joyful existence by digging deeper within and learning more about themselves. I don't look at you as just another client. You are your own person with many talents and we will bring those to the surface so that you can live the life you want. My approach is collaborative, where we will work together to tap into your strengths in order to alleviate stressors, cope with difficult feelings, and live a more fulfilled life. I am dually licensed in both New York and New Jersey, and as an exclusively online practitioner, I am able to provide therapy anywhere in both states via a HIPAA compliant video platform.

I genuinely enjoy talking to new people. Reach out and contact me for a free 15 minute consultation.
